“Rootbeer Classic” Short Magnusson Handmade Oblique Calligraphy Pen

I love the looks of this pen!  I made it with a super nice hardened acrylic resin (super durable!), and an exotic Honduran Rosewood handle.  That “root beer” acrylic is absolutely off-the-charts beautiful.  Pearlescent root beer color, “streaked” with black…this baby is CLASSYYY!  I turned the long handle stem from a splendid specimen of exotic Honduran Rosewood.  I shaped it in the classic “Magnusson” rat-tail profile, but not so long as many pens of this profile.  This was intentional, because not everyone wants a super-long pen.  I feel this length is attractive, and has that classic profile without the length that many writers are not so fond of.   Let me just say…this pen will beckon you…it will grab your attention every time you walk by and see it on your desk…it will seduce you to pick it up, and write with it…even just for a minute!  And THAT is the “mark” of really great pen!

This pen will easily and happily handle the rigors of the professional calligrapher. This pen is coated with my super hardshell clear coat (12 coats on this pen). This finish is crystal clear, super hard, will never become sticky or gummy, and is almost impossible to stain. If ink or gouache dries on this finish, you can wipe it off with a damp rag, or for stubborn cases, you can literally scrape it off with your fingernail.
