“Magic Mists” Handmade Professional Oblique Calligraphy Pen

This pen has a really awesome resin  at the “foot”…the resin reminds me of magic mists…mists of lavender-purple and blue, all “merging” together.  This resin is highly iridescent, so the colors are gorgeous and sort of  “change” hues as the light strikes them from different angles.  Really pretty.

I used a splendid piece of exotic Honduran Rosewood for the handle, and I spent some time turning the ornate decorative elements on it…It’s quite impressive, and there is not another pen like this one on the planet.  It is a handmade one-off pen.  So if it ever gets stolen, you will instantly recognize it.  haha. 

As with all of my pens, this one is finely crafted, and has a great “feel” to it, as only handmade pens can give.  You will love using it as well as just looking at it.  Your calligrafriends will also be impressed and will want to hold it and “try it out”.  They will love it, but too bad…it cannot be replicated.  It is one-of-a-kind.  Be sure to click on the thumbnails for close-up photos!

As with all of my handmade calligraphy pens, this one is coated with my super hardshell clear coat (12 coats on this pen). This finish is crystal clear, super hard, will never become sticky or gummy, and is almost impossible to stain. If ink or gouache dries on this finish, you can wipe it off with a damp rag, or for stubborn cases, you can literally scrape it off with your fingernail.
