“Red-Winged Blackbird” Handmade Professional Oblique Calligraphy Pen

Not only is this pen an absolutely professional high-end writing instrument, it is a stunner to look at!  You will love the “looks of envy” you will receive from your calligraphy friends.  Be prepared for everyone to ask you if they can have a closer look at “that pen”!  You really can’t blame them…something like this is a real eye-catcher, and is not found on the open market; because it is a handmade custom.  Made of top-grade Gabon Ebony wood (imported from Africa)…sleek and black, and one of the finest, most revered exotic woods on the market.  For the “foot section” of the pen (the black section where the flange is attached), I used black acrylic resin to improve durability…the black acrylic is not visually distinguishable from the Ebony wood.  I added a beautiful red “band” to the pen, as well as a few decorative rings of white-and-black.  The gorgeous red is a custom hand-cast resin that I ordered.  Because this pen is predominantly black with a beautiful red stripe, I named it after a bird that is native to the area where I live…the Red-Winged Blackbird.  Like this pen, the bird (the male at least) is a beautiful black color, with small red accents on his wings.  A beautiful bird, and a beautiful pen!  Striking in looks, in “feel”, and in performance!
