A beautiful and quite unique pen holder!  All handmade by me…I made this pen from an exotic pen blank (known as a “hybrid”).  Hybrid pen blanks are made from an exotic “natural edged” piece of burl wood that is fused to a man-made resin.  In this case, the wood is maple burl, and the blue transparent resin is fused to it’s “natural edge”…the natural edge where the two are joined forms a one-of-a-kind “craggy” joint line which is both beautiful to look at, and also unique to each pen…no two hybrids are ever ever ever alike…the wood of each is designed by Mother Nature herself, and they are as unique as a fingerprint.  This one is especially nice because it has some holographic flakes within the transparent resin that gives the illusion of sparkling jewels.  Like treasure inside of a broke-open log of wood.  Very attractive piece!  For the ornate tail or handle-stem, I used Honduran Rosewood.

My Unique Oblique Custom Pens are meticulously handcrafted writing instruments.  They are finely crafted, pro-caliber calligraphy pens.  This pen will easily and happily handle the rigors of the professional calligrapher.  As with all of my handmade calligraphy pens, this one is coated with my super hardshell clear coat (12 coats on this pen).  This finish is crystal clear, super hard, will never become sticky or gummy, and is almost impossible to stain.  If ink or gouache dries on this finish, you can wipe it off with a damp rag, or for stubborn cases, you can literally scrape it off with your fingernail.
I will happily set up the flange on this pen to accommodate your favorite nib prior to shipping. Please let me know which nib (only one please) that you will use in this pen and I will have it set up and fine-tuned for you when I ship it, so it will write perfectly right out of the box!  (Nib is not included with the pen).
This pen will ship to you with a premium storage/presentation case
